Economist urges structural examination of Nigeria | The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News — Nigeria – Guardian Nigeria

An economist and political scientist, Peter Azonobi, has lamented Nigeria’s ‘failure’ to get its leadership right since independence in 1960, urging structural examination.
He spoke in Lagos during the launch of his book, Nigeria Beyond Buhari, to inquire into the future of the country and its leadership.
Azonobi said the need to establish a functional political system to drive national growth and development was a must.
He observed that the Nigerian economy, from 1960 and before 2015, lacked values for national development.
Azonobi said the President Muhammadu Buhari administration deserved some credit for laying a foundation for the country to compete favourably with developed nations in the nearest future.
The economist dropped the hint while speaking on the new leadership style, christened, Constructive Age of Ideology (CAI).
